Some U.S. holidays are only observed in particular states. Among these are Confederate Memorial Day (Alabama), Seward's Day (Alaska), Cesar Chavez Day (California), Lincoln's Birthday (Connecticut, Illinois), Civil Rights Day (New Hampshire), Juneteenth (Texas), and Victory Day (Rhode Island).
