When traveling in Texas between Houston and Dallas, you might consider stopping at a town called Teague. Located in Freestone County, Teague spans less than four square miles, and has a population of approximately 5,000 residents. Points of interest include the Teague Public Library, City Park, Gregory Field Park and the Burlington-Rock Island Railroad Museum. Teague also has a motel, three grocery stores and about a dozen local restaurants.
The town is only about twenty miles west of the camping, fishing and hiking grounds of Fairfield Lake State Park. ************************************************ ************************************************ FUN FACTS ABOUT DALLAS AND HOUSTON: These cities are home to a number of championship sports teams like the Houston Astros, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.
