Just for fun, here's a list of some of America's weirdest awards:

1) GOLDEN RASPBERRY AWARD

Each year dozens of crappy films appear in movie theatres for no apparent reason. The Golden Raspberry Awards (a.k.a. Razzies) pay sarcastic tribute to these cinematic disasters, and the actors who love them.

The Razzies are aired every year just before the Academy Awards, to celebrate the worst in film from the previous year. Categories include Worst Directing, Worst Screenplay, Worst Acting, Worst Sequel, Worst Screen Couple and Worst New Star.

2) BAD SEX IN FICTION AWARD

Pretty much as it sounds, this "prize" is awarded to writers of the most gratuitous literary sexual content and the suckiest romance novels.

3) STELLA AWARD

This distinction is awarded for the most outrageous or frivolous lawsuits that actually went to court.

One awardee was a Michael Jordan look-a-like who sued Jordan and Nike for 832 million dollars in damages for stealing his image.

Another was some jackass claiming to be God, who sued two magicians (David Copperfield and David Blaine) for using “God like powers” that he felt should be reserved only for himself.
