PRINTABLE WORLD MAP

Here's a printable world map, along with an accurately scaled map of the 50 American states.

The map shown below is an accurately scaled United States map that includes the offshore states of Alaska and Hawaii. The east-west width of the state of Alaska is actually greater than the width of the entire mainland USA.

The 50 American States are:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Other lands owned by the U.S. are known as territories. These include Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix).

Washington DC is not considered a state, but a district.

No one really knows why so many people think there are 52 states, but the map shown here displays all 50 states of America.

This map shown below is accurately scaled, meaning that the size, placement and orientation of states and regions are more or less correct in relation to each other.
