Below is a Washington state map showing cities, rivers and Interstate highways.
Washington is a state located in America's Pacific Northwest. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the west, Oregon to the south, Idaho on the east, and Canada's British Columbia to the north.
With an area of over 71,000 square miles, the state of Washington ranks 18th in size among the 50 U.S. states. Washington has about six-and-a-half million year round residents.
Due to widely varying climate conditions (VERY wet to VERY dry), the state is known for rain forests in its western region, and deserts in the east.
Washington's highest point is Mount Rainier (named after an Admiral, not because of the weather), located about 50 miles southeast of Seattle. It has an elevation of 14,410 feet above sea level.
