The looming Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower) in Chicago, Illinois is the tallest building in the United States, and is also the only building in the United States that is listed among the five tallest buildings in the world.

Measuring more than 1,450 feet from ground to rooftop, the Willis Tower is home to a staggering 110 stories of corporate offices with more than four and a half million square feet of floor space.

The Willis Tower Skydeck is an observation deck located on the 103rd floor. It only takes about 45 seconds to get there in either of two specially designed high speed elevators.

The Skydeck is a world famous tourist attraction that overlooks the plains of Illinois and across Lake Michigan to the states of Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Tourists with unusually strong stomachs can experience for themselves how the building sways to and fro on a windy day.
