Chicago's Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower) is the tallest building in the United States, and the only building in the United States that is listed among the five tallest buildings in the world. Measuring over 1,450 feet from ground to rooftop, the Tower boasts a staggering 110 stories with more than four-and-a-half million square feet of floor space. The Willis Tower Skydeck is an observation deck on the 103rd floor. It only takes about 45 seconds to get there in either of two special high-speed elevators. This famous tourist attraction overlooks the plains of Illinois and across Lake Michigan to Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.
