Currently, the tallest building on earth is a high-rise in Dubai called Burj Khalifa, which is stands 828 meters tall. But Chicago's Sears Tower is the tallest building in the U.S., and the only building in the U.S. that is listed among the five tallest buildings in the world. Measuring over 1,450 feet from ground to rooftop, the Tower boasts a staggering 110 stories with over four-and-a-half million square feet of floor space. The Sears Tower Skydeck is an observation deck on the 103rd floor. It only takes about 45 seconds to get there in either of two special high-speed elevators. This famous tourist attraction overlooks the plains of Illinois and across Lake Michigan to Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.
